Welcome to the latest issue of NewsFeed. By now most colleges and universities will have returned from the early Easter break and you’ll be back at your desk refreshed and raring to go. In this edition you’ll find news of a raft of shining tools to help you navigate your way to the end of the session. There’s a bumper collection of JISC information, including invitations to tender and funding circulars. There’s also news of the latest JISC podcast and a guest contribution from Dr Philip Pothen of JISC explaining the rationale behind the JISC’s podcast programme.

Elsewhere there are two very fine collections of online tools – see ‘Doing What it Says on the Tin’ below – offering the right tool for every online teaching and learning scenario you can imagine, and maybe some you haven’t imagined yet. But speed is of the essence as web design guru Jacob Neilsen reveals in a rather depressing new report that the ability to use websites decreases with the passing of the years.
